Excellent text. The idea of taking into account the NMC domains when structuring the book works very well
A most welcome text specifically addressing the learning needs of students working in Specialist and Advanced practice. as our module prepares students for the 'Practice Teacher' award, this book will be an invaluable resource.
This text is highly informative and relevant to my role. However, it is likely to be of more use to those in senior positions or aspiring to these. I will utilise on the recommended reading list for mentors in the Trust, but will also be utilising for my teams personal development.

This text contains a clear exploration of the role of the practice teacher that students will find useful. It helps to define the parameters of the role and assists with the operationalisation of it in practice.
Clear and easy to read book which would be ideal for student nurses on placement in GP practices, or wishing for a qualified nurse post in that environment.
This is a good, well thought out and structurally easy book for the students to use. I feel that this would supplement our mentorship course well. It is still under consideration with other individuals in the team.

Very useful practice based book well laid out that will help the new practice teachers to differentiate their role from that of the mentor. The book will be on the book list for the module Effective learning in the Practice setting, so will also inform newly qualified teachers who work in practice.
This latest edition is a must have for all current mentors and those undertaking the support for learning in practice preparation.

This is an excellent book that links with the current NMC Standards to support teaching & learning in practice.
Practice teachers study for specific modules when they are in their training year. They supervise students on the PgDip in SCPHN and Pg Dip in CSP and teach sessions on the programmes which are assessed. They also meet as a group of Practice Teachers and I will be recommending this to new and experienced Practice Teachers in Sept. It is useful to have a book that is specific to their role. It is easy to read and highly relevant to their role.
Helpful text for mentors in practice.
This book is a good, basic introduction to teaching in the practice arena. It will be most suited to practitioners planning on becoming or extending their practice teaching experience and knowledge. The content will assist practitioners gain the post graduate qualification in practice teaching.
