Helpful book for those new to academic writing.
This book goes beyond practical advice on how to manage the writing environment and improve the structure and style of writing across multiple forms of assessment. The chapters on dissertation management and writing, presentations and publishing extend the basic academic skills to enhance academic engagement. This will be relevant for postgraduate students.
This is one of the books which will be recommended for our 2nd and 3rd years UG students in preparation for their dissertations.
A very good update of an already fine book. Strongly recommended for all students.
A useful book, especially for those new to post-graduate study, it perhaps lacks some focus in its application but contains much useful guidance that I would wish all candidates on PG programmes would heed.
A practical guide for students with valuable exercises
This textbook is particularly important for first and second year students. However, some 3rd year student also found it beneficial as a review book when writing their dissertation.
