Zoe Hogan The University of Sydney, Australia
Dr Zoe Hogan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Sydney Centre for Healthy Societies at the University of Sydney, currently focusing on an ARC Linkage Project about the long-term impacts of childhood immigration detention. Zoe is the author of two books, Teaching Artistry through Drama in Education (2026) and Connecting through Drama (with Victoria Campbell, 2022) and is an Editorial Board member of Journal of Applied Arts & Health. Zoe’s research approach is informed by her practice as a teaching artist and community arts facilitator, where she has worked extensively with children and young people, migrant and refugee communities, people with lived experience of homelessness, and young people who are incarcerated. Her work in this area has been recognised with a UNESCO case study and STARTTS Humanitarian Award. She has held leadership, artistic and consultative positions at various organisations including Sydney Theatre Company, Milk Crate Theatre, Powerhouse Museum and the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia. Zoe is the recipient of The Lloyd Martin Travelling Scholarship for Emerging Arts Leaders from Sydney Opera House.
